Gee How Oak Tin Association (GHOT), one of the oldest Chinese family associations in Seattle was founded in 1910 by a group of Chinese under the surnames of Chan, Woo and Yuen. The association is a non-profit, nonpolitical and its head quarter is in San Francisco, we are part of an organization with over 20 chapters thru out the North America. Our mission is to provide charitable and benevolent activities, social welfare, to preserve and promote the Chinese culture and traditions for the oversea Chinese people, we provide educational scholarships to qualified high school graduates that will be attending college; provide operating fund to support the local emergency and health care center; provide language, business assistance and social support to non English speaking Chinese in the communities.
